Here are the basic design goals s that I had for the chicken coop:
- Whole side door for easy cleaning - actually I meant to do this but didn't!
- Venting at top
- Sloped roof for drainage
- Offset nest box for easy access
- Portable - no wheels. Theoretically I could probably drag it with the tractor, but I didn't really meet this goal.
- Modular - remove north side siding and build on. Maybe.
- Melamine floor for nonporousness. I actually went with a rubberized wet patch instead.
The coop looks ok. Not great, but ok. The chickens seem to like it. I need to
paint it.
